Discussion forum "European decarbonization policy and the role of energy communities in Bulgaria: technologies, barriers and solutions", Sofia

The Chamber of Energy Communities in Bulgaria - KEOB, with the Chairman of the Board Mr. Ivan Hinovski and Mr. Elenko Bozhkov, Executive Director of the Chamber together with the Institute for Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development and Innovation - IPURI, are inviting you to a discussion forum "European Policy on decarbonization and the role of energy communities in Bulgaria: technologies, barriers and solutions" on July 18, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. (opening), House of Europe, 124 G.S. Rakovski Street, Sofia. The event aims to focuses public attention on a priority topic for the European Union - building and effective functioning of energy communities, as an important part of the energy transition. The discussion will outline the current problems and possible solutions before the creation of a community energy system.
The Deputy Minister of Energy Iva Petrova, the executive director of the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development - Ivaylo Alexiev, energy experts, mayors, representatives of higher education institutions and non-governmental organizations will take part in the forum.
Among the topics that will be addressed are barriers and development prospects for energy communities, new challenges for energy networks, while presenting good practices in creating energy communities.
