CTEC opens a new laboratory for testing personal protective equipment

Mar 25, 2022

The Center for Testing and European Certification (CEEC) opens a new laboratory for testing personal protective equipment on March 25, 2022, the first of its kind in Bulgaria.
This year, the company will celebrate its 20th anniversary and boasts its fourth own laboratory.
At the beginning of 2021, the notification of the Center for Testing and European Certification (CEEC) under Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment was officially announced in the information system of the European Commission NANDO. Until now, in the certification process, the company used partner laboratories outside Bulgaria to test the products of its customers.
Over the past year, CIES has trained and trained highly qualified staff and invested significant own funds in its new laboratory, building a modern hall and purchasing equipment from a leading manufacturer of non-standard equipment. The laboratory is located in a business building at the company's address in Stara Zagora and consists of a main test room and offices.
The new laboratory will test the most important characteristics of the three main types of masks: respiratory, medical and textile, and test protective clothing to determine the leakage of aerosols.
The advantages over other European laboratories are that Bulgarian manufacturers of protective masks will receive services with easy communication, in shorter terms and at more affordable prices.
