In 2022, "Testing and European Certification Center" Ltd. built and put into operation its new Laboratory for testing personal protective equipment.
As a notified body with number 1871, CIES carries out conformity assessment of a number of products, including personal protective equipment. Economic operators can take advantage of the advantage that CEEC offers, namely testing and certification from one place.
The company invested its own funds in a new test room and modern non-standard equipment from a leading manufacturer. Thus, the company increased its laboratory complex, which consists of a total of four laboratories.
The investment is significant, but it does not end with the opening of the laboratory on March 25, 2022. Later in the year, CIES completed the equipment with two new devices for testing masks in accordance with EN 149:2001+A1:2009. The goal is for the company to be able to offer manufacturers of textile, medical, and especially respiratory masks, the tests necessary to prove compliance with European standards.
The next step is the accreditation of the laboratory. Serious preparation and submission of documents to the Executive Agency "Bulgarian Accreditation Service" is pending.
CIES reported that the year was successful also due to the fact that the company applied for and won a project under the technological modernization procedure under the Recovery and Sustainability Plan. The funding won is for the purchase of modern laboratory equipment for the company's four laboratories.
