The application for the third open measure under the Recovery Plan is until 16:30 on May 15, 2023 and has a total budget of BGN 200 million

Late last night, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth opened the third procedure under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RPP) for companies to apply for. The total budget of the measure is BGN 200 million. It is aimed at Bulgarian companies that want to build their own new RES installations in combination with batteries for local energy storage.

From BGN 75,000 to BGN 1 million, Bulgarian companies can receive grants for the construction of the systems in a mandatory combination with a battery as a storage technology.

The measure is aimed at micro-, small, medium-sized companies and companies with up to 3,000 employees from various economic sectors.

The co-financing is up to 50% in line with the Recovery Plan, and the interest of the companies in the measure is expected to be extremely high, as became clear during the tour of the country by Minister Alexander Pulev with the MIR mobile reception desk and the meetings he held with local businesses and local government in all areas.

With the funds provided by MIR under the NPVU, it will be possible to build capacities up to 1 MW and electricity storage facilities. The battery PV system must be constructed on a building or property wholly owned by the applicant. The electricity from these systems will be able to be used only within the specific production, without being able to be sold. The investments will help companies reduce their costs and become less dependent on the free electricity market. The measure is aimed solely at solar photovoltaic energy and has as a mandatory element the acquisition of technologies and storage facilities in the form of batteries, which contributes to the balance of the generated power.

Documents are submitted electronically through the ISUN 2020 system  until 4:30 p.m. on May 15, 2023. the same platform up to 21 days before the expiry of the application, questions can also be asked about the conditions.

We would like to remind you that this is the third open measure for business under the Ministry of Innovation and Growth under the NPVU.
