In the period June 10-14, 2024, the Bulgarian delegation on the topic "Digitalization, Electronics, Semiconductors" visited business partners in Bavaria, Germany.
The organizers were the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GBITK), the Bulgarian Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (BASEL) and the German consulting firm em&s GmbH.
The visit took place with the assistance of the Bavarian Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy within the framework of the "Bayern - Fit for Partnership" (BFP) program and on behalf of Bayern International.
Within the program, the participants had the opportunity to visit the following companies:

- EOS GmbH Electro Optical Systems, Kreiling-Munich – technology leader for high-end additive manufacturing solutions;
- Siemens AG, Amberg – the most modern digital factory of the electronics manufacturing concern;
- FIT AG, Lupburg – a globally recognized innovative company in the field of additive design and manufacturing;
- Nano Dimension GmbH, Munich – technology for the production of electronics by 3D-printing.
The Bulgarian delegation also visited two specialized exhibitions in Nuremberg:
- SENSOR + TEST 2024 – meeting with the "Sensor Technologies" Cluster;
- PCIM 2024 – meeting with Power Electronics Cluster.
On June 11, 2024, the participants of the delegation were received at a meeting by Mr. Volker Leinweber, Executive Director of the Bavarian Economic Union and Dr. Peter Thelen, Executive Director of the Bavarian Office of the Association of Electrical and Digital Industry. Possibilities for more intensive business contacts between Bulgaria and Bavaria were discussed. The executive director of BASEL, dipl. Eng. Orlin Dimitrov, invited representatives of the two organizations to take part in the "Electroindustry 2025" business forum.
The business visit ended with a meeting with Mr. Andreas Reuchlein, Director of Internationalization at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, where a summary of the delegation's trip was made. Dipl. Engineer Orlin Dimitrov invited the Ministry to organize a Bavarian delegation to visit Bulgaria in 2025.
The business visit ended with a meeting with Mr. Andreas Reuchlein, Director of Internationalization at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, where a summary of the delegation's trip was made. Dipl. Engineer Orlin Dimitrov invited the Ministry to organize a Bavarian delegation to visit Bulgaria in 2025.
