On September 12, 2025, a meeting was held between representatives of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) and the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade (BWA), Germany, within the framework of which future actions and long-term cooperation in support of enterprises from both countries were planned. During the meeting, the two organizations discussed opportunities for stimulating bilateral trade and investment through a more intensive exchange of information, contacts and good practices. The representatives of BICA presented the investment advantages of Bulgaria, including the low corporate tax, strategic geographical location, competitive and qualified workforce and stable macroeconomic environment.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of BASEL, Orlin Dimitrov, who has been in active contact with BWA since 2014, presented the scope and activities of the electrical and electronic sector in Bulgaria and proposed business cooperation with German companies.
The organizations agreed to organize an Economic Forum, which will be held in the first half of 2026. It will aim to both deepen economic relations between the two countries and create a platform for business initiatives that will allow joint entry into third markets and the development of a sustainable partnership. The future forum will be an important step towards a deeper partnership between Bulgaria and Germany - not only through expanding economic ties, but also through joint actions to address new challenges in global markets.
