On June 19, 2025, the 50th anniversary of the first holding of the International Conference on Electrical Machines, Drives and Energy Systems ELMA 2025 was held - a conference with long-standing traditions, starting from 1975, when its first edition was held in Varna. It is held every two years alternatively in Sofia and Varna. Initially, the conference focused on electrical machines, but over the years it has been enriched and currently covers all aspects of modern electrical engineering. The main goal of ELMA 2025 is to enable the academic community, scientists, engineers, doctoral students, manufacturers and users to discuss and exchange information on the results of their theoretical and experimental research, the use of new materials and the application of new technologies in the field of electrical machines, drives, power electronics and energy systems.
