PROJECT PROPOSALS UNTIL 5:00 PM ON SEPTEMBER 19, 2024.
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
The European Integrated Circuits Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/1781) was introduced to promote the use of semiconductor technologies, provide access to design facilities and pilot lines, and address skills gaps across the European Union. The legislative act provides for the establishment of at least one competence center in the field of integrated circuits in each EU member state.
The Integrated Circuits Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) will open a call for applicants to build Competence Centers, with a deadline of September 2024. Applicants will be assessed on their ability to fulfill the requirements of a Competence Center by a European point of view. A letter of intent from the National Authority of the applicant's Member State will form part of the eligibility criteria.
In this regard, the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises is issuing an invitation for expressions of interest to Bulgarian participants for the establishment of a Competence Center in the field of integrated circuits for Bulgaria.
The purpose of this national call is to select candidate(s) for consideration by the joint venture as a Bulgarian center of competence in the field of integrated circuits.
Applicants must meet the general requirements for building a Center of Competence in Integrated Circuits as described in the attached call and clearly demonstrate their suitability in their proposal.
Applicants for the Potential Centers of Competence can submit project proposals until 5:00 p.m. on September 19, 2024. Proposals should be sent to e-mail: office@sme.government.bg with the subject: "National Center for Competence in the of integrated circuits''.
